At the Union County Historical Society we have a lot of respect for the men and women who have fought in the past, and will keep fighting into the future to protect the freedoms our country enjoys. The Old Courthouse Museum has an exhibit dedicated to these individuals that is maintained year-round; as well as a special exhibit that we bring out from The Memorial day holiday through Independence Day. Our Exhibits include a variety of items such as flags, uniforms, documents and photos, weapons, and other memorabilia from past wars.
Every year the Union County Historical Society has a float in the Blairsville Memorial Day Parade. Come Join us celebrate this time of remembrance and watch the parade filled with floats and other participants honoring those who have fought for our country and the people in it.
